Who won the SISS Open Call? Let’s find out, category by category, how the competition organised by the SISS project was divided into four categories.

First up is CAT C – YOUNG PIONEERS winner Lautaro, who impressed the judges with his audiovisual work  |T//E//A//R//S|:

«Even if I have always understood the concert not as a purely musical event, but as a fundamentally audiovisual experience, the focus on amplifying this visual aspect became crucial once I realized that sound alone was no longer sufficient to fully articulate the concepts I wanted to explore, and so the visual aspect became a necessity rather than an addition. In my practice, I make a special effort to avoid using visuals as a superficial layer on top of the music. Instead, I aim to integrate image and sound as fully as possible, so that they are perceived as a single entity, equally essential to the overall experience, and both grounded in the central concept that shapes every aspect of the work.

Looking toward the future, I see my practice continuing to expand toward more immersive and interdisciplinary forms, further exploring the ways in which various media can interact, and how these interactions might affect the function and placement of performers on stage, both physically and symbolically».
