The first public event with which the “Bonporti” Conservatory of Trento inaugurates its contribution to the SISS project is scheduled to take place on July 26, 2025, in Sofia (Bulgaria), in the Concert Hall of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”.

The event will feature Divertimento Ensemble, a renowned Milan-based ensemble dedicated to contemporary music, founded and conducted by Sandro Gorli.

The program will include a selection of contemporary works, among which are three world premieres commissioned by the “Bonporti” Conservatory from three young Italian composers: “When did you?” by Gaia Aloisi, “Black Silence” by Luca Donati, and “Dans le mot” by Rosalba Quindici. Born in 1995, Gaia Aloisi is a composer from Cagliari, Sardinia (IT). After undertaking her first musical studies in her home town, she devoted herself both to voice and composition obtaining a Bachelor of Arts at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva (HEM) and a Master of Advanced Studies in Contemporary Music Performance and Interpretation at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana. She then obtained her Master’s Degree in Composition at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan with Alessandro Solbiati and a High Specialisation Diploma at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Ivan Fedele. In 2024, she Completed a Postgraduate University Degree in with Clara Iannotta at the MDW – University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In addition to receiving recognition in various international composition competitions, his original works have been commissioned and performed at festivals and events worldwide. His artistic output ranges from musical theatre to pure sound creation, also encompassing the analysis of improvisational techniques and the musical means of oral traditions.

Born in Italy in 1995, Luca Donati studied composition at the “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi” in Turin with Alessandro Ruo Rui, Giorgio Colombo Taccani, and, from 2021, electronics under the direction of Daniele Ghisi. In 2023 he graduated cum laude with a Master’s Degree in Composition. In these years he participated at several masterclass with composer as Mauro Lanza, Clara Iannotta, and with ensemble/soloists as Maurice Quartet, Renaud Déjardin and Anssi Karttunen. In 2023 he participates and wins the call for score organized by AGON and the duo formed by Silvia Cignoli and Laura Faoro, based on a discographic project called “METALLICUM”, aimed at expanding the repertoire for electric guitar, flute and electronics.

From this project originate several concert taking place in Milan. In April 2024 “METALLICUM” is performed at the “Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana” in Switzerland for “OGGIMUSICA”, while in November at the “BKA-Theater” of Berlin. Rosalba Quindici, a graduate in piano and composition and holder of a degree in philosophy, pursued advanced studies in Italy with Azio Corghi, Stefano Gervasoni, and Salvatore Sciarrino, as well as in Switzerland with Xavier Dayer at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern. A key element in her educational path has been the study of issues related to musical perception, which she explored in depth through a PhD in the phenomenology of music at the University of Naples Federico II, under the supervision of Giovanni Piana and Eugenio Mazzarella. Commissioned by national and international institutions, her work spans instrumental and vocal music as well as musical theatre. Within the latter field, starting in 2016—and thanks in part to her collaboration with the Capodimonte Museum—she began developing a personal line of artistic research aimed at exploring the synesthetic dimension of artistic perception, creating a dialogue between the syntax of music and that of the visual and performing arts.

Engaged in critical thinking and in redefining the composer’s role as a comprehensive researcher, since 2013 she has produced a series of melodramas on philosophical themes—with librettos by Rosario Diana—in collaboration with the Institute for the History of Modern Philosophical and Scientific Thought (National Research Council), the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies, the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, and the Cappella Sansevero Museum. Her works have been recorded for the Stradivarius label. She has taught composition at the Conservatories of Bari, Pesaro, and Benevento, and currently teaches at the Conservatory of Cesena. https://www.rosalbaquindici.com/ The Divertimento Ensemble was founded in 1977 in Milan and has now over 1000 international concerts and 19 CDs to its credit.

The composer Sandro Gorli is the ensemble’s conductor and artistic director since the birth of the group. Over one hundred composers have dedicated new compositions to the Divertimento Ensemble. These works, and many others, have helped consolidate one of the most inclusive and up-to-date repertoires of new music, both Italian and international. The ensemble organizes the Rondò concert season every year in Milano, which is entirely dedicated to contemporary music.
